Sleeve gate valves

A gate valve is a fitting that is usually used to completely open or close the entire flow cross-section of a pipe. In contrast to valves, gate valves are not primarily used to regulate the flow rate and are not used with very high pressures. Gate valves are often used for upstream shut-off, i.e. to enable maintenance work on downstream fittings.
